Two Teens Went for a Bike Ride and Found a Neighbor Who'd Been Down for 16 Hours
Gunner and Kohen, both 13, were just out riding when they spotted an elderly woman who had fallen in her yard the day before.
It started as an ordinary summer morning in Fruitland, Iowa: a Pop-Tart, a FaceTime call, and a plan to go for a bike ride. Then Gunner Skidmore and Kohen Chick, both 13, came across an elderly neighbor who had fallen in her yard and been stuck there for more than 16 hours, without her phone or water.
The boys didn't hesitate — they got her help, and a neighbor who might not have been found for another day is safe because two kids decided to take the long way around.
